In Mexico the current plan of study of secondary school contains in tis pedagogical principles the use of audiovisual and multimedia resources along with the internet to strengthen the teaching processes and knowledge of students. The musical activitiesin the secondary level considers the value of linking music to the everyday life of the teenagers to expand their artistic knowledge and to establish a relation with Technology and its use in the professional aspect of the musical and artistic discioline. This study presents a quantitative research aimed to analyze the application of information and communication Technology as a didactic tool to contribute in the achievement of goals and expected learning in the subject of Arts Of The mexican secondary school level, in order to develop critical thinking through musical appreciation competencies. The participants were the students of First grade who were involved in different exercises with the use of technological Tools to analyze its influence in their learning and development of competencies such as critical thinking and musical appreciation. The results show that students can learn independently by using reflection and following a methods; they were able to practice perception, auditory memory, and collaboration. Final recommendations indicate that it is necessary to incorporate more activities with the use of Technology and multimedia resources in order to promote higher levels of interest in addition in the student.
